Full & Partial Dentures
Losing teeth can be devastating under any circumstance. Walking around with a big gap in your smile can take a real toll on your self-confidence. Worse yet, you’re left with the worry of how you can replace them and get your whole and healthy smile back.
In the past, dentures have had a reputation for looking fake and obvious, but at Keech Family Dentistry, we carefully craft natural-looking dentures that are designed to restore your attractive smile, make it easy you eat your favorite foods again, and maintain optimal oral health.
When faced with the prospect of wearing dentures, most people are mainly concerned with one thing – will they look natural? You can be assured that Dr. Keech and our dental team work with highly skilled technicians who fabricate dentures that are fully customized for each patient. You won’t believe how comfortable and dentures are when they’re crafted to your exact specifications!
Full Dentures – Also referred to as complete dentures, we use full dentures when you’re missing all the teeth in your upper or lower arch, or both.
Partial Dentures – Removable partial dentures are an option if you still have most of your teeth. Partial dentures can be used for your upper jaw, lower jaw, or both. Partials are basically constructed in the same way as complete dentures, the main difference being that they are made to fit around the remaining natural teeth. Your partial dentures will be securely fixed to neighboring teeth with clasps.
Complete and partial dentures are attached to a comfortable framework of acrylic material, and both are completely removable.
Enjoy the Comfort of Implant-Supported Dentures
Many denture wearers complain about the embarrassment and inconvenience of dentures that slip and move around. At Keech Family Dentistry, our fully customized dentures are designed to conform perfectly to the shape of your mouth, but you may be looking for an even more secure solution.
Stable dental implants hold a denture securely in place and eliminate movement that causes irritation. The implants are placed at strategic points along your jaw and, after the healing process is complete, the denture is attached securely to the posts. Implant-supported dentures are removable and can be taken out at night for cleaning.
Living with New Dentures
Everyone goes through an adjustment period after getting dentures for the first time. New dentures always feel a little awkward and bulky, and it will take some time to get used to speaking and eating with them. Just be patient with yourself, and in no time at all, you’ll find that wearing your customized dentures feels a lot more natural than you expected.
