Dental Bridges Fayetteville, AR

For patients missing one or several teeth, a custom dental bridge can be an excellent solution for your dentistry needs. Even when one tooth is lost, it can affect the way you chew, bite, and speak. Replacing lost teeth can restore function, beauty, and health to your smile.

Dental bridges are designed to close the gap between missing teeth. A bridge can be secured using the existing teeth or secured by dental implants. For patients missing a single tooth, they can choose between a custom dental bridge or a dental implant.

Dr. Richard Keech offers a complete range of solutions for patients who are missing one or more teeth. After a comprehensive exam, Dr. Keech can recommend the most appropriate tooth replacement option for your smile.

Benefits of an Implant Secured Dental Bridge

An implant secured dental bridge is a long-lasting, comfortable solution for tooth loss. A dental bridge fixed into place by dental implants offers these key benefits:

  • A permanent solution for tooth loss: An implant secured dental bridge adds stability, comfort, and beauty to your smile. Instead of relying on the existing teeth for support, an implant secured dental bridge relies on implants, making it a permanent solution for tooth loss.
  • Helps stimulate the jaw bone: Bone loss in the jaw is one of the effects of missing teeth. When the teeth are lost and not replaced, you may begin to experience jaw bone shrinkage; this can impact the appearance of your face and minimize your choices for tooth replacement.
  • Improves your dental health and preserves the natural teeth: Because an implant secured bridge does not rely on the natural teeth for support, it helps preserves the health and function the existing teeth. Cost-effective solution: Dental implants are a permanent solution to tooth loss. Once implants are placed, you care for them just as you would your natural teeth.

What To Expect During The Dental Bridge Procedure

Replacing missing teeth begins with a one on one consultation with Dr. Keech. Dr. Keech will evaluate your teeth, mouth, joints, and jaw to determine the best solution for your needs.

How your dental bridge procedure is performed is dependent on whether your dental bridge is secured by your existing teeth or by dental implants. For a traditional dental bridge secured by the existing teeth, we often recommend placing a dental crown for added strength and stability.  During the first visit, Dr. Keech will prepare the teeth and take impressions. Depending on your needs, we may place a temporary crown or bridge during the fabrication process.

Once the crown and bridge are ready, Dr. Keech will remove the temporary restoration and secure the new dental bridge and crowns.

Implant Secured Dental Bridge Process

If your bridge is placed using dental implants, Dr. Keech will work with a local specialist for the surgical phase of the implant procedure. Once the implants are placed, we may place a temporary bridge as they heal.

After the healing phases, we will take new dental impressions for your custom dental bridge. During your final appointment, Dr.Keech will remove the temporary restoration and securely place your new dental bridge.
